My name is Jennifer Savannah Gaster, and I am a dedicated athlete who is excited at the opportunity of playing volleyball at the college level. I have played volleyball at the high school and club level for the past four years. I played high school volleyball for the Johnsonville High School Lady Flashes, club volleyball for Florence Juniors for three years, and am currently playing for Grand Strand Juniors 18’s National team. I am a 6’5” middle hitter/blocker and in my high school career I helped lead my team to four lower-state championships and three state championships where we took home the state runner-up class 1A title all three years. In my time with the Florence Juniors, we won the 17 Gold Championship at the Palmetto Regional in Charlotte last year.
I am truly a hard worker, and I will push myself to do whatever it takes to help my team win. Every time I step onto the court I learn something new about myself, and I am excited about the improvements I have made recently. Volleyball has taught me leadership, drive, determination, teamwork, and perseverance. Volleyball is my passion in life, and I can not imagine my future without it.
My second passion is education. I have worked hard my twelve years of school in hopes of fulfilling my desire of pursuing a degree in pre-medicine or nursing. I am looking for a school that will allow me to fulfill both volleyball and education.
Strangers have told me many times that God has special plans for me, and I truly believe he does. God has given me many special gifts and passions, and I give him praise for everything in my life. I am driven from a power bigger than me, and I am excited to use that power to become the best player on and off the court.
